The table shows each company's sofa or upholstery cleaning line as printed, linked to its source. 13 companies publish one. Because the units are mixed, the table shows no overall range.
Two lines are priced per seater and one per item. The rest are printed without a unit, so the figure alone does not show whether it covers one seat, a whole sofa or several pieces.

Per seater, per item or per sofa
Sofa cleaning lines are written in three ways, and each one leads to a different question for the company.
Per seater
A per seater line charges for each seat. One company prints From S$40 per seater. Another prints S$40 to S$80 per seater on a 1-seater line. Ask how the company counts seats on your sofa, for example whether a chaise end counts as one seat or two, and whether loose cushions are included or charged separately.
Per item
One company prints From S$60 per item. Here the key question is what counts as one item. A whole sofa might be one item, or the seat, back cushions and armrests might each be counted. Ask the company to list the items it will count for your sofa before the visit.
Printed without a unit
The other lines show a figure with no unit beside it. Two of them name a sofa size: S$25 on a 2-seater line and S$70 on a 1-seater line, both printed without a unit. Others, such as From S$90 or From S$200, are also printed without a unit. A lower figure on a larger sofa is a reason to check what each line includes.
Fabric and leather
Only one line in the directory names leather: S$160, printed without a unit. No line names a fabric type, so the published rates cannot show how fabric and leather compare in price.
If your sofa is leather, say so when you ask for a quote. Leather may be priced separately from fabric, so ask whether the company cleans leather, which of its lines applies and what the leather clean includes.
For fabric sofas, ask which cleaning method the company plans to use, for example steam cleaning or another method. If the sofa has a care label, share what it says with the company.
Stains, odours and drying
No published line names a stain or odour add-on. Ask whether stain removal and odour treatment are part of the price or charged as extras, and point out each mark or smell before work starts.
Drying time depends on the cleaning method and on how much air moves through the room, so ask the company what to expect. NEA says opening doors and windows improves home ventilation, and fans can be used to help air circulate when needed.
If the company uses disinfection products, NEA's guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting homes say to prepare and apply them according to the manufacturer's guidelines, allow the stated contact time and use the protective equipment the product's Safety Data Sheet prescribes. NEA also recommends ventilating the home during and after cleaning and disinfection.
For upkeep after the clean, see caring for sofas and curtains between cleans.
What changes the sofa cleaning price
Several things move the sofa cleaning cost you are quoted:
- Number of seats. Per seater lines charge for each seat, so ask how many seats the company counts.
- Size and shape. A large or unusually shaped sofa may not fit a simple per seater or per item line, so describe it clearly.
- Material. Fabric and leather may be priced differently.
- How soiled it is. Ask whether heavy stains or strong odours change the price.
- Add-ons. Loose cushions, stain treatment or odour treatment may be charged as extras.
- Minimum charges. Ask whether there is a minimum charge per visit.
- Other items in the same visit. Ask how the company prices a visit that also covers a mattress, carpet or curtains.
For other cleaning jobs, see home cleaning prices. If the sofa is part of a whole-home clean, see the guide to deep cleaning cost.

Compare cleaning companiesWhat a fair quote should list
A written quote makes it easier to compare companies and to sort out a problem later. Before you accept a sofa deep cleaning price, check that the quote lists:
- The item and its size, including the number of seats and the material.
- The cleaning method the company will use.
- What is included, such as cushions, arms and stain treatment.
- The drying time to expect.
- Any minimum charge.
- What happens if a stain does not come out.
If something is missing, ask the company to add it before you confirm the booking, and keep the quote. If a dispute with a business arises, the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) explains your options.
Questions
How much does it cost to clean a 3-seater sofa?
No published line in the directory prints a 3-seater price. With per seater pricing, the company charges for each seat it counts. With per item pricing, it charges for each item. Lines printed without a unit need a question first. Describe your sofa and ask each company for a quote on the same unit.
Is leather sofa cleaning priced differently?
It may be. Only one line in the directory names leather, and it reads S$160, printed without a unit. No line compares leather with fabric, so the published rates cannot show the difference. Tell the company your sofa is leather, and ask which line applies and what the leather clean includes.
How long does a sofa take to dry after cleaning?
It depends on the cleaning method and how much air moves through the room, so ask the company what to expect for your sofa. To help it dry, let fresh air in. NEA says opening doors and windows improves home ventilation, and fans can help air circulate when needed.
Do sofa cleaners need an NEA licence?
Not for cleaning inside your home. NEA's Cleaning Business Licence FAQ says businesses providing domestic cleaning at premises occupied as a private residence do not need to be licensed. This does not cover condo common property. The licence applies to non-domestic general cleaning, such as office cleaning or condo common areas.
Can stains always be removed?
You should not assume so. Before work starts, point out each stain and ask whether stain treatment is included in the price. Ask what happens if a stain does not come out, for example whether the company will try again or adjust the charge, and ask for the answer in the quote.
Should I clean the sofa and mattress in the same visit?
It can make sense if you want both done, since one visit means one booking. Ask how each item is priced and whether combining them changes the minimum charge or the total, then compare that with booking separately. For what companies publish for mattresses, see mattress cleaning cost.
